Saturday - Sunday April, 26 th - 27 th-Shell Island Birthday Kayak & Camp-
Come join Mike and Mj for our 9th Annual Birthday Kayak & Campout on Shell Island. This slowly has became an event over the past eight years if you are into kayaking. Ironically every year there are always others on the trip with the same birth date. We've entertained over 190 people in April the last eight years on this special sandy beach. Ft. Desoto has been voted the best beach in the US in 2008. Well, many sea kayakers in the know say Shell Island is the king of beaches.

Beginners and up welcome- kayaks and tents for rent if needed.

Itinerary: We'll paddle out to Shell Island (45 min paddle for beginners) across open mangrove flats. Azure blue waters and white sandy beaches greet the group. We'll set up camp then gather and learn everyone's name with a cool name game and then wade in the warm gulf waters and play Frisbee, toss the football or just hang out. Later we'll saddle up again and paddle to Billy's Stone Crab for a late lunch. We'll eat and drink in the crow's nest on the third floor in the open bar area as Jimmy Buffet music emanates from Glen's magical guitar. First one to win the hook game gets a free drink. Later we'll head back to the Island for a delicious dinner of Australian Dinkum Chilli on the beach as Florida's best sunset creates a paradise

We'll have vegetarian options if your a veggie. Just let us know.
