Join Carolina Mike & Friends on this Fun, Exciting Treasure of
Florida.
Homosassa River is famous for two things; manatee's and the people who come to
view them. And during the winter months of December to March, you can expect
to find plenty of both. The freshwater spring fed river is a favorite wintering
spot for the West Indian Manatee.
Paddle Difficulty: An easy paddle for the beginner and
up. Kayaks available for rent.

Saturday, January 20th 10 am Where: McRae's Motel and Boat ramp off Yulee Drive (CR 490) Homosassa, FL (about 1 1/2 hrs drive from St. Petersburg, FL. Plan for traffic on US 19. )

Note: join
us after the paddle for dinner at the Monkey Bar
Restaurant located next to the McRae's Hotel on the water.
Directions: Travel North on US 19 to the town of Homosassa Springs and turn west on Yulee Drive (County Road 490). Take left at stop sign and follow signs to the Yulee Sugar Mill ruins. Stay on Yulee until reaching MacRae's Motel. A boat ramp and dock are available to the public at no charge. (parking is down the street from Hotel.)
